Social Media Week New York 2015

02 Mar Social Media Week New York 2015

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak to a packed house at Social Media Week 2015 on the Black Enterprise hosted panel Activism in the Social Age: Resources, Mainstream Media, and Using These Tools for Good at the Highline Stages in New York City.

The other panelists included , Charles Wade, co-founder of Operation Help or Hush, feminist and writer Wagatwe Wanjuki and was moderated by  Social Media Manager Sirita Wright. We chatted everything from Ferguson to Duke as well as tips  ( provided by yours truly ) that can help brands help, support and leverage social media causes via their resources.

Big thanks to #SMWNY for having me ( even though they spelled my last name wrong in the video -_- ) and I’m looking forward to the next city & next year!
